Rooney’s Special Moment, Everton’s Everton Victory Scored at Goodison Park

Wayne Rooney impressive in bringing a victory for Everton through his sole goal against Stoke City in the Premier League premiere at Goodison Park Stadium on Saturday (12/08/2017).

In the 45th minute, Rooney managed to take advantage of stomach passengers from Dominic Calvert-Lewin. His header ripped the Stoke City goalkeeper.

After the game, the former Manchester United striker delivered his comments related to his goals and final results.

“At the personal level, scoring the winning goal at Goodison Park is a special moment, nothing better, playing for this club is a big pride for me,” Rooney told BBC Sport.

“The start of the season is always difficult because you are trying to find the rhythm of your game,” he said.

Rooney was hoping that Ronald Koeman’s team can continue to start positive in the first game.

“We have a couple of tough games going on so it’s important to get a good start,” Rooney said.

In the next game, Everton will play host Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Monday (21/08/2017).
